FU License for Films v1.0 — Core Terms.
The FU License project is built around a simple idea: independent creators should be able to collaborate without spending months negotiating permissions, fighting Content ID systems, or worrying that success will later be used against them.
Rather than relying on a single license for every situation, the project uses a family of licenses that work together. Each license is designed for a specific role within the ecosystem while sharing a common philosophy: reduce friction, encourage discoverability, and protect the long-term interests of creators.
At present, the FU License project consists of two core licenses.

FU License A for Music v1.0 — Core Terms..
FU License for Films allows filmmakers to explicitly authorize full-length reaction videos on clear terms.
Instead of leaving reactors to guess whether a copyright claim or takedown might appear later, filmmakers can grant permission in advance. In exchange, reactors agree to simple requirements intended to preserve attribution, discoverability, and the value of the original work.
The goal is not merely to permit reactions. It is to create a reliable framework that allows independent films to benefit from reaction culture while giving both filmmakers and reactors greater certainty.

FU Music A is a discovery-focused license for songwriters and producers.
It allows selected tracks to be used in qualifying works without individual sync negotiations, Content ID disputes, or complex licensing discussions. In return, filmmakers gain access to legally simple music, while songwriters gain placements, credits, and a documented history of real-world use.
A key feature of FU Music A is that tracks can be retired from future participation while preserving rights already granted to existing users. This allows creators to use the license as a pathway toward larger opportunities rather than a permanent commitment.

The FU License project is intended to evolve over time.
Future licenses may address additional use cases, including revenue-sharing models, games, educational content, and other forms of creative collaboration.
Each license is designed to stand on its own, but together they form a larger ecosystem intended to help independent creators discover one another, work together more easily, and build sustainable careers without unnecessary gatekeepers.
