Open licensing for reaction‑friendly independent film

FU License is an open copyright framework for independent filmmakers, songwriters, and reaction channels. It defines clear, permanent rules that let creators legally react to full films and music videos on platforms like YouTube, while protecting the long‑term integrity of the movement.

FU License exists for three groups:

• Filmmakers using tools like Jabbawok to produce 2D and 3D animated work and needing a discovery engine that matches their ambition
• Songwriters and producers who want their music to be used in independent films rather than missing out on opportunities due to friction caused by Content ID or the complexity of royalty arrangements
• Reaction channels who want to react to full works safely, earn ad revenue, and help surface projects that would otherwise be lost in the noise.

The problem is simple: small teams can now rival Hollywood on creativity and production, but not on marketing. Reaction channels are the most grounded, scalable discovery mechanism we have – but only if everyone plays by the same rules. Without structure, we get takedowns, Content ID clashes, bait‑and‑switch behaviour, and deliberate sabotage from incumbents who would prefer this ecosystem to fail.

FU License provides that structure. It spells out when full‑length reactions are allowed, how attribution and linking must work, which assets are safe to use (and which aren’t), and what happens when someone tries to game the system. In doing so, it lets independent artists use AI the way artists actually want – as a precision tool inside workflows like Jabbawok – while using licensing and coordinated norms to replace gatekeeping executives, not the artists themselves.
